Tuesday evening saw the last Hellenic Final of the season played between Ducklington, champions of Division One West and Premier Division Goring who competed in the final of the Over 40’s Veterans Cup that was played at Clanfield.
The Ducklington hero was 40 year old youngster Paul Neale who netted a hat trick including a penalty with the other goal in a 4-0 win being netted by Dave Tolley, a more mature 46 year old.
Ducklington manager and goalkeeper Colin Priest said; “the move to veteran’s football had given his side a new challenge and the season had been very enjoyable. Bring on next season after we have a rest”
