Grass Is Always Greener - 10th December
Milton are looking forward to their trip to Holyport this week despite missing their top two goal scorers, uncannily Holyport are in the same position.
Milton can finally call on the services though of a fit and raring to go Adam Greenaway who they signed last month. On Greenaway, Smith said :" Greener is a very intelligent footballer, who links play very well and will hopefully take us to the next level. He has an uncanny knack of scoring on debut's, in fact he has an uncanny knack of scoring full stop."
Milton have played Holyport twice already this season with both games ending 1-1 after 90 minutes, one of which Holyport scored in extra time to win 2-1 in the Challenge Cup, and the other was the first game of the season when Holyport scored in added time for a point. Can Milton finally get the win that will keep them in the top three and above Holyport? We will see.

Another "Old Boy" Joins Milton - 29th October
Adam Greenaway, who played for Milton when they were in the Hellenic Premier Division, has rejoined the club.
Greenaway, pictured, was an 18 year old contract player for Milton in 2005, after an excellent start to the season notching up five goals in 10 games, he suffered an injury in the September, which stopped him playing for the rest of the season.
Milton have also recently signed another player from Ackling's time at the club, winger Paddy Malone.
With regard to Malone and Greenaway Smith said: "We have been in touch ever since my previous Milton days and I have finally managed to get them both signed. Paddy has trained for the past few weeks and is looking as though he is getting his sharpness back and Greeny looks like he has never been away. They will certainly need a few more weeks of training before we see either of them starting in the claret and blue but they may well make the bench before that. These are two major coups for the club and I am absolutely delighted to welcome them aboard. Also this week another young lad called Callum Wright has signed and he looks a skillful little player but will too need some fitness work."

A Cup Win At Last - 14th October
Milton United won their first cup match of the season last Saturday, any win is good, but their priority is to finish in the top half of the league.
Milton believe. "It is very tight this season and on their day any team can beat each other so there are not any easy games. We are at home to Rayners Lane this Saturday and they may not have started the season well but we will not be under estimating them and are expecting a tough match."

Break Just At Right Time - 16th September
Shaun Smith the Milton manager says that this weekend break has come just at the right time for his side.
Smith commented. " We have several players carrying knocks at the moment, and also some just returning from holiday. So although we are doing OK in the league, this free weekend will give the squad a chance to recover and I should have a fully fit squad to choose from for the game against South Kilburn on Sunday 26th September."
This match is part of the Annual Hellenic Ground Hop.

LookIng For Cup Luck! - 13th September
Milton travel to Binfield tonight in the AM Print & Copy Floodlight Cup hoping their luck in cup competitions this season is about to change.
Already out of the FA Cup and having travelled to Hertfordshire to lose in the FA Vase by two penaltie. Press Officer Ron Renton said that he hopes the team might get a change of luck tonight. "We have not had much luck with cup draws this season being drawn away in the majority of competitions. I realise that tonight’s game will not be easy as Binfield have started the season well and will be looking to get back on track after going out of the FA Cup on Saturday but we are looking forward to the match and will certainly give them a good game."
Ron Renton also confirmed today that they have also reluctantly withdrawn their first team from the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup for this season. "Like Holyport we feel that we could not do the club justice by fielding a reserve side in the competition. Having qualified for this season's FA Cup, we feel that we are now being penalised by our County Association by being asked to play a weakened side in their Intermediate competition. Our Reserve side will still play in the Junior Cup competition”.

LookIng To Bounce Back -26th August
Following the defeat last week, the Miltonians are looking for their first win of the season this Saturday when they entertain Chinnor.
Press officer Ron Rentonststed. "Milton have about 10 extra players available for selection this weekend and with two games in as many days players will be looking to impress with the FA Vase match coming up. We did not do ourselves proud last week and there will be a reaction from the players to prove they are better than that. Sometimes you have to lose heavily to see the toughness of your players and the important thing is how they respond to that defeat."

Holyport Start For Smith - 5th August
Milton United's new manager Shaun Smith is looking forward to the start of the new Uhlsport Hellenic Division One East season on Monday 9th August when they are at home to Holyport.
Smith stated: "We could not have had a harder start to the new season with the game against Holyport who finished third last season and appear to have retained most of that squad so this will be a real test for my players. Despite having to rebuild the whole playing side of the club we have had a progressive pre-season, the players are ready for the challenge ahead and are certainly fit enough. I am excited about the calibre of player we have attracted and are still attracting and am looking forward to the big kick off." Kick off is Monday 7:45pm at The Heights.

Brothers First Team Managers - 1st June
Milton United Chairman Ron Renton has announced the appointment of the new management team at 'The Heights'.
Sean Smith (left) has been appointed as first team manager and his brother Nathan (right) as his assistant. Milton Chairman Ron Renton stated: "Sean was an ex-Milton player and former reserve team manager and deserved his chance to manage at this level after being at North Berks League Drayton for the past few seasons. We are looking to the long term with this appointment and to bring stability to the club after a couple of seasons of changes".
Brother Nathan was a past Milton United captain until he suffered a damaged cruciate ligament, which curtailed his playing career for a lengthy period. Ironically Sean Smith had his playing career cut short, with the same problem.
Also joining the club is Steve Collins as the manager of the new reserve side, Steve is also an ex-Milton player. Both managers have good knowledge of local football.
Sean Smith was pleased to be appointed and stated: "I would like to thank Milton United for the opportunity to manage the first team, it is a great honour which any player would love to take on. I enjoyed alot of success in my former spell as manager albeit for the reserves including winning the 1st division the year after we were promoted. I then went on to be Gary Ackling's assistant for 2 years which I enjoyed and learnt a great deal. I certaintly believe there are more than enough local quality players just waiting to progress the club and themselves into the Hellenic Premier Division and beyond. Myself and the new management team cannot wait to get started and are extremely excited about what the future holds."
