Manager Appointed At Launton - 22nd January
Launton Sports of FTL Futbol Hellenic League One East have appointed Kevin Poole as their 1st X1 manager following the shock resignation of the first team management duo of Eddie Nix, with his assistant Harry Monk in December.
Kevin resides in the Thame area and has achieved a high degree of success in that area over many years although this will be his first managerial job in the Hellenic League.
As a qualified FA coach and a determination to play quality football the club are optimistic that the future now looks a lot brighter. Other changes have also taken place both on and off the field at the club , which hopefully will enhance the clubs chances of showing a major upturn in their fortunes. The club is urging all players, officials and supporters to back the club as they bid to close the door on the a very poor 2008.

Nix and Monk Leave Launton - 22nd December
Following the shock resignation of the first team management duo of Eddie Nix, with his assistant Harry Monk, Launton Sports are once again looking for a new manager.
Eddie and Harry took on the unenviable task following the Division One East clubs' disastrous start to the current season, despite continuing poor results the team definitely looked to be on the verge of at last turning the corner.
Regretfully the lack of commitment of certain players did not mirror the 100% desire and commitment of the managers.
Both Eddie & Harry will be greatly missed. For the interim the task has been undertaken by club captain, James Lisseter and reserve team managers Tony Luckett and Marcus Carberry.
The club despite a crippling injury list will be looking forward to a major improvement in the coming weeks. Applications are invited for the managerial vacancy. Interested candidates please contact club secretary:

Kick Start For Launton - 3rd October
Sports' new boss Eddie Nix is looking for a win to kick start their season when the Division One East side host Winterbourne in the preliminary round of the SBJ Insurance Challenge Cup.
He is set to play Nick Neal (pictured) and Ryan Luckett at the front after pair linked up well during Launton Reserves 4-1 win against Clanfield's second string last Saturday.
Nix, now fit after a hernia operation, says every player will be given an equal chance. "I know we lost 1-0 in my first game, I only had the chance for one training session. I regard Saturday as my first real match in charge. I know it's the cup, but if we get a good win that will set us up nicely for the league game against Thame."
