Alman Joins Saints - 4 June

Brackley Town Saints announce that Steve Alman has joined the uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division club as coach for the coming season. 

Steve joins from Abingdon United, where he was first team manager and will now work alongside Saints Manager Chris Hurley as they look to improve on last seasons 3rd place finish.

 

Moving Up A Cog - 29 May

Two of Brackley Town Saints players, goalkeeper Alastair Worby and midfielder James Watts, have taken a step up from the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier to the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division.

hellenic league football alistair worbyhellenic league football james wattsThe Oxford Mail reports Banbury United manager Mike Ford is reported to have signed both players for the 2019/20 campaign. Ford is backing both players to have an impact for the Evo Stik South League Premier Division Central club.

Ford said: "Alastair (left) is someone who has done very well at Brackley Town Saints and has provided excellent cover for the first team. He is a very motivated individual who will be desperate to be the number one next season."

"James (right) is a young player who has spent his whole career in senior football at Brackley Town Saints where it would have been very easy for him to have remained. He has taken the plunge to sign for us which show the lad's ambition and desire to achieve success for himself and ultimately our football club."

Brackley Town Saints have appointed Chris Hurley as manager of the uhlsport Hellenic League Premier division team for the coming season.

Chris (pictured) will be assisted by Gary Courtney who was number 2 to Gordon Kille last season, the club wish both of them good luck for 2019/20.


Sad Day For Brackley - 16 March

Brackley Town Football Club are extremely saddened to have been informed that Gordon Kille has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.

Gordon has been involved with the club as a Coach and Manager for approximately 15 years and is currently the Manager of Brackley Town Saints. Gordon will be stepping down, at the end of the current football season, from his role as the Brackley Town Saints Manager to spend more time with his family and to concentrate on his own well being.

The Board Members, together with everyone else connected with Brackley Town would like to thank Gordon for his dedication and commitment over the years. Our sincere best wishes and thoughts are with Gordon and his family at this challenging time.

We look forward to seeing Gordon at the club in a supporting role next season.

 

Hurley Becomes A Saint - 3 January 2019

chris hurley hellenic league footballDidcot Town Development Chris Hurley manager has left the Division One East side to take up a role on the coaching team of Premier Division Brackley Town Saints. 

The former Oxford United, Reading and Derby player has left his role with the "Railwaymen" to join the Saints as they push for promotion This season.  Chris (pictured) brings 17 years of coaching experience with him, and will work alongside the current team as lead coach. 

"Saints manager Gordon Kille commented  “We’re delighted to bring in a coach of the caliber of Chris, and shows the intent we have to be serious contenders for promotion. Chris will add the extra depth of knowledge to our coaching team and will be a good sounding board for players and management alike for the remainder of the season and beyond.”

 

October Team Of Month - 18 November

Uhlsport Hellenic League Executive Committee member Bill Beach attended Brackley Town Saints fixture at St James Park yesterday and presented the Premier Division October Team of Month Award to Saints manager Gordon Kille.

Saints maintained their number one spot in the Premier Division with a convincing 4-1 victory over Reading City.

Curently at the top of the table with forty one points, six more than their nearest rivals. They could be classed as a head and shoulders above the rest . . . not too dissimilar to Gordon in the image with Bill!
