Kit Support - 26th September

Kintbury Rangers recently were awarded a Nike Kit worth £400 from the Football Foundation after applying in early July for a new away kit for the Youth team.

The Kit was awarded as part of the Foundation Junior Kit Scheme which provides kit and equipment vouchers to junior clubs and schools across the country. The scheme ensures young players of all abilities have the best possible start in the game. "I applied to the football foundation early July and received the voucher in August, ordered the kit and it arrived before our first away game. We're obviously very pleased with the kit and the Football Foundation" said secretary Cheryl Angell.

The Foundation is fully dedicated to revitalising the grass roots of the game which is funded by the Premier League, The Football Association and the Goverment. Click link for Junior Kit Scheme Grant details.

Local Raid - 25th September

Kintbury are aiming to raid near FTL Futbol Hellenic League neighbours, and Division One East rivals, Newbury, to boost their strike force after slapping in a seven-day approach for Paul Thomas.

Thomas scored in Newbury’s recent 2-0 win over their rivals and manager Craig Adey is desperate to boost his strike force with Thomas and former Thatcham youth player Darryl Fairbrother his targets.

Rangers entertain South Kilburn on Saturday with midfielder Marc Piper sidelined by an ankle injury, although Jamie Gannon and Adam Bell should return.

Broken Bones Everywhere! - 14th September

Another club seemingly suffering from injuries is One East side Kintbury Rangers who suffered another blow to their young side with another young player on the receiving end of a foot injury in Saturday’s match. This is the third foot injury since the start of season.

First Curtis Angell suffered a fractured ankle and a broken foot back on August 22nd at South Kilburn, then Joe Cummusky broke his foot during a friendly reserve game and on Saturday Tom Burch was taken off with a suspected broken bone in his foot.

These, along with a broken hand, a broken thumb, and two other players on crutches, with ligament damage. Club Secretary Cheryl Angell said "The players with injuries are all 17yrs old so it’s a blow to them and a blow to the club. The youth team are suffering at the moment as all play for them but the players with foot injuries are also first team players so they have to make changes weekly. Hopefully in a few months time the squad will be back to full strength"
