John Hurley has been appointed the new Manager of Wallingford Town Reserves in uhlsport Hellenic Division 2 East.
An experienced and well known Manager at North Berks level, John has both a North Berks Division 1 and Division 2 title to his name plus 4 North Berks Cup triumphs in his list of honours from spells with Blewbury, Saxton Rovers, Ardington, East Hendred, Harwell International and Long Wittenham. John joins Wallingford having guided Berinsfield to the North Berks Division One runners-up spot as well as the Charity Shield final last season, in which they narrowly lost out to Saxton Rovers.
His management team will consist of last season's reserve team manager Mark Waring-Jones and assistant Trevor Foster, ensuring some continuity despite the change at the helm.
Hurley himself added "I am pleased to be joining Wallingford Town, looking forward to the challenge of managing the reserve team in the uhlsport Hellenic League level"
Commenting on the appointment Wallingford Town Chairman Simon Cowlard said 'We are thrilled to have got John in during the early part of the summer giving him and the full senior management team plenty of time to prepare for the new season. John brings a wealth of management experience and success which is exactly what we had been looking for to help what is a very young and inexperienced group in our reserves.
