Buildbase FA Vase Preview - 27 November

adam sauntson hellenicleagueThe return of Adam Sauntson to the back-line in recent weeks has given everyone at uhlsport Hellenic League Division One West Malvern Town a boost.

Last season’s Player of the Year has shaken off the niggling injury which had halted his progress after he had made a bright start to the current campaign.

Now his sights are firmly set on making it through to the next round of the Buildbase FA Vase on Saturday at the expense of Midland Football League Division One outfit, Atherstone Town.

“Everyone is well up for the game and hoping to make history on our new pitch,” he said. “The FA Vase is a national competition and we are really buzzing for it. To have almost 400 people here to support us in the last round was fantastic. They created a really special atmosphere and with a bigger away following expected this time, we really need them behind us to push us on.

“We need the people of Malvern and the surrounding areas to come out and support us. Our opponents like to play football and, like us, are attack-minded so it has all the ingredients to be a brilliant clash and a tough test for us. To be back fit and playing again means so much to me. I want to make up for lost time and be able to kick-on from last season."

“Saturday’s game is a huge chance for all of us to show what we are capable of. It’s a great stage on which to demonstrate how good we are as a team. The new playing surface suits our fast style and it has already produced some entertaining games and this weekend will be no different. We just need as much support as possible to help us make home advantage count as was the case in the last round. "

We have a fantastic day planned, including:

✅Hot/cold food and drink at great prices

✅Live football on our TV screens

✅Memorabilia on sale

✅The cut-and-thrust of Cup football on our new playing surface

✅Live evening musical entertainment from The River Rea Duo

All welcome! Admission is £6 (adults), £4 (concessions) and FREE for under-16s
